STRUCTURAL ENGINEER

Position: Structural Engineer
Location: Auckland
Report to: Structural Manager
Experience: Minimum of 3.0 years of structural design experience.
Preferred Qualification: B.E (Civil)
Salary: NZ$ 60,000 – NZ $75,000

Project Management

• Managing projects by coordinating and liaising with regulators and client contacts.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Take pride and responsibility to go above and beyond client expectations.
• Good knowledge of structural engineering design and construction observations.

Technical

• Produce and review residential and commercial designs, design calculations and drawings.
• Prepare and implement technical specifications.
• Provide training to internal junior staff.
• Undertake construction supervision and contract administration.
• Co-ordinate with internal parties to resolve interface issues and technical clarifications.
• Good knowledge of appropriate technical standards, legislation, codes of practice and New Zealand standards.
• Seismic design experience.
